Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 14, 2026
Vaulty ("we," "us") is a warranty-tracking app. This policy explains what information Vaulty collects, why, and how it's handled.
Information you provide
- Account: When you sign in with Sign in with Apple, we receive a unique identifier for your account and, if you choose to share them, your name and email.
- Item data: Anything you enter or upload about your belongings — item names, brands, purchase details, and photos or documents of receipts, products, or warranty terms.
How your information is used
- To store and sync your tracked items and documents across your devices.
- To power AI features you use: extracting details from a scanned photo, suggesting manufacturer contact info for a claim, and answering "Am I Covered?" questions. These features send the relevant photo, document text, or item details to OpenAI's API to generate a result. OpenAI processes this data to return the result and does not use it to train their models.
- To check your items against the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's public recall database, using only the product's brand, name, and model — no personal information is sent for this check.
- To process subscription purchases through Apple's App Store — Vaulty does not receive or store your payment details; that's handled entirely by Apple.
Where your information is stored
Your account data, item data, and uploaded photos/documents are stored with Supabase, our database and file storage provider. Access to your data is restricted to your own account.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your information.
- We don't use your data for advertising or ad tracking.
- We don't share your item data or photos with anyone other than the service providers listed above, and only as needed to provide the features you use.
Your choices
- The AI-powered claim lookup feature can be turned off at any time in Settings.
- You can delete any item, or your entire account and all associated data, at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete Account). Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Children's privacy
Vaulty is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Continued use of Vaulty after a change means you accept the updated policy.
